Three ideas to add a diy touch to any party.
Are you throwing a party anytime soon? I found myself putting together two parties back to back two weeks ago. I was a little stressed out putting everything together.
One was a birthday party and the other a baby shower. In my mind, I wanted to craft a few decorations and bake cupcakes from scratch. In reality, I had to travel unexpectedly four days before one of the parties so I didn’t get a chance to make the projects I had in mind.
However, the lack of time didn’t stop from adding a few DIY ideas that saved me so much time and money. Take a look below for my three tips to make a party extra special without spending hours crafting away.
I made this flower arrangement in 10 minutes tops. The best part was when my friend I threw the baby shower for said to me: “Wow, these flowers look just like the centerpieces I had when I got married!” Sweet! I thought to myself and went ahead and shared with her how I put it together.
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get tired of paying top dollar for pretty paper plates and coordinated cups, napkins, etc. Instead, I used a few clear plastic containers from a company I worked with a few months ago. Then I added a sticker to each container and voila, I had custom party supplies.
I designed the stickers with clip-art from “The Inknest” in Photoshop and printed them in sticker circle labels from here. Now, you don’t have to go through all this trouble, but you could use stickers such as these or these. Get creative ;)
Cupcakes not only act as pretty food but also decor as well. I didn’t have any cupcake wrappers with a “floral” motif (the baby shower’s theme), so I used red petals to make my cupcake display more visually appealing. I was in the kitchen twenty minutes before the guests were about to arrive when I noticed I few roses in one of my floral arrangements, withering and looking sad.
I took a few petals from the withering roses and placed them underneath the cupcakes. Loved how they turned out!

Happy quick and pretty crafting!
