DIY Jewelry Display with Minted

Hello readers! I am beyond excited to share with you a project I’ve been working on for the last three weeks, my new jewelry display.

First, the lovely people at Minted sent to my home two samples I picked out from their inventory. (Which was very hard… their fabric choices are amazing.) I immediately thought of some sort of display to organize my jewelry and knickknacks. The result? Two super easy jewelry displays to bring sanity to my morning routine and getting all my scattered jewelry and baubles organized in one place. The best part? There is no sewing involved!

  1. First I used a metallic magnetic board that I found online here.
  2. Second, I cut a rectangle measuring: 27.5″ wide x 30″ tall for both fabrics.
  3. Photo of English Garden fabric detail.
  4. Then I placed the metallic sheet in the middle of the piece of fabric.
  5. Folded the fabric as if I was wrapping a gift.
  6. Used E600 glue and glued the fabric to the metallic board.
  7. Waited for the glue to dry for 2 hours.
  8. Measured two yards of teal suede leather cord and made an “adjustable knot.”
  9. Wrapped the leather cord around the board 4 times.
  10. Finished my new jewelry display, then added a few magnets.

Now I have most of my favorite jewelry pieces displayed on my bedroom mantle. Thank you Minted for introducing me to your gorgeous fabrics by the yard. I’m in love with both patterns, plus, the artist that designed these fabrics is a graphic designer from my hometown Seattle.

Thank you lovely readers for visiting kraft&mint. Please drop me a line when you get a chance.

Love,

Ursula

I am loving your jewelry display/organizers. Fabric used is so pretty, colors and design. Will have to make point of looking on their site to see if there’s fabric I can’t live without. Did you have choice of fabric they sent you or go with whatever they sent?
Love your little light box. So inventive. Where do you get those vintage shaped light bulbs? Really love that little light box, will you paint it or do you use it for photo sessions? Would be easy to make one would think, have to show my hubs, see what he can come up with.
The crystal or ? acrylic knobs on your jewelry organizers give it dressy look.
Enjoy your new jewelry organizers while dressing every day. Happy week

Hello JaneEllen! I got to choose the fabric from Minted. The little light box is from Ben Franklins Crafts and I want to paint it but haven’t decided what color yet :) It is always a joy to hear from you! Ursula –
