Do you have any special traditions for Fall? Growing up in Lima, Peru, Fall would mean the beginning of a dreary mid 50’s season, blending with a dreary winter in the mid 50’s too. At least that’s how I remember it ;) Now fast forward 20 years later and I live in the Pacific Northwest where Fall takes a life of its own. Everywhere I look there is an amazing picture of a tree changing from green to orange in a perfect “ombre” style.
Each year we take the kids to a harvest festival hosted east of Washington in a lovely place called Suncadia. This has been our little tradition since the kids could toddle away. The great thing about this festival is that is not HUGE but everything is scaled down to a perfect size for little kids. For example, the corn maze is small enough for a 5 years old to find his way around without parents worrying too much about them getting lost.
Do you have a special place where you go? The same pumpkin patch, or festival? I would love to hear from you. Probably you are not in the same area as I am but it could benefit other readers that might live close to you.
And since this blog is primarily about crafts, I’m trying to incorporate a tradition other than pumpkin carving. I have two boys and sharp objects and little boys don’t mix very well ;) Here is my pinterest board of the crafts I’d like to do with them.
Happy October to you all!
