Shopping inspiration for artwork for home decor
Have you ever gone shopping for artwork for your home, and then found paintings or illustrations and said: “Hey, I could paint that, or draw that!”
I’ve done this and am I, right? A resounding NO ;)
During my experience of looking for artwork for my home, I’ve found a few sources that I loved and purchased, and others that are out of my budget but keep them in my home decor “bucket list.”
And supporting artists is pretty cool!
Shopping inspiration for artwork for home decor: My first piece of artwork
My first source? Moglea!
Moglea (pronounced MOH-GLEE) is a design & letterpress studio that creates handcrafted paper goods in Audubon, Iowa. Most of their products are painted or dip-dyed before printing. Their designs are rad, just shop away!
My second source? Louise Gray. She is an artist that created modern quilts (which are out of my budget for now;) but she has lovely prints of her work.
My third source? My life ;) Black and white photos of beautiful moments of trips, outings or anything my phone captured ;) Just upload your photos to Shutterfly, then turn them into black and white photos using their web photo editor and you are good to go.
Artists I dream of buying art from:
Emily Jeffords. She paints gorgeous landscapes, abstracts and more. Her work is outstanding.
Fourth source? Etsy!
Fifth source? Lisa Rupp.
And one more : Melissa Wood designs
Enjoy! Every piece of artwork is lovingly curated for you. My hope is that you find amazing artists to support and embrace them in your home.
