A while ago I found a little treasure at the dollar section at Ben Franklins (BF). Cute little notebooks with a Kraft look and feel I’ll show you below. This craft took 20 minutes tops to make!
1: First I used the die cut center at BF and found a few interesting shapes that caught my eye: a carousel horse, a cloud and a set of birds.
2: I bought a white chipboard sheet and put it through the die cut machine using the shapes mentioned above.
3: Then I used the same die cut shapes and put through a paper with a great blue and green palette and modern shapes.
4: Following this, I layered the blue/green shapes paper stock on top of the white chipboard cut shape.
5: Finally, I glue gunned this shape to the notebook and the result is shown below.
I tried other die cut shapes but the ones that worked great were the horse a bird and a cloud. Which one do you like the best? My favorite is the cloud. Thanks for reading ;)
Extra details:
1: For the carousel horse, I wrapped a Kraft color string around the horse’s neck.
2: For the cloud I used a hearts stamp to evoke some rain.
3: The birds looked like they were just floating around, so I added a diagonal piece of washi tape to the background.
My favorite: The Cloud (a pink chevron pattern paper gave a more cheerful look to the cloud. )
