Is Summer in Seattle and we Seattleites crave the sunshine mostly all year-long, and once the sun comes out for several days, we recoil saying is too hot outside… A few sunny days ago, my kids were restless at home, wanting to stay indoors and escape the heat. After exhausting our usual crafts, I remembered I had bought materials for a craft I had in my head but had no idea how it would turn out. We only used two materials: “Craftwood Round Beads” and “Fibre-Craft Fuzzy Chenille Stix” in different patterns and colors. Please take a look below at the results. They had lots of fun with these little critters!

My favorite critter
My least favorite (it just gives me the creeps…)
You can find the wood beads at Oriental Trading, Ben Franklins or Amazon. The fuzzy sticks are on sale at Amazon as well.
*Isn’t it amazing how little kids can be content with the simplest craft? I’d like to say this lasted for hours and hours on end but it was the afternoon and 1 hour later they both had meltdowns and insisted to stay indoors because of the “awful’ heat outside…(85F tops). Thank you for reading! As always, I love to hear from you!
