I love buying crafting materials. Who doesn’t? One of my new discoveries are leather cords, wood beads and charms. It is very relaxing to pick and choose materials for a necklace and I’m sticking to no hardware like clasps but keeping it simple with an adjustable sliding knot* to put together all my necklaces. My philosophy about any crafting project is: “less is more”. Here are some photos of the necklaces I made. As always, thank you for reading and share your comments below. The first comment gets a surprise via snail mail ;)

I’ve kept this button around for a long time and when I combined it with the leather cord, I think it worked well. The blouse I’m wearing already has a lot of detail so usually I don’t wear a necklace with it, but once I tried it with the button necklace, it added attention to the blouse’s ruffles without overpowering the outfit.
*I’ve put together a tutorial on how to create an adjustable double knot on a prior post. Please let me know if you have any questions :)
PS: I found all my jewelry supplies online at Amazon and Jewelry Supply site. I’ve been to the traditional craft stores but in my opinion their inventory is limited compared to the websites mentioned above.

That’s great! Would you notice on this blog? When exactly would you open? I’m very interested in buying two for my bf and myself. I hope your works would be loved by many!
Oh thank you Sophie! Yes, I would announce it first on my blog :) I can hold 2 necklaces for you and for your best friend! SO excited to launch my store before the summer is over ;)
aw thank you for your kindness! I still need to ask my friend if he wants it as well. In case someone wants to buy it before we make a decision, you don’t have to hold for me :-) I’ll keep an eye on the announcement though! Have a nice day!
