Natural leather cord and czech beads.
This week, I re-discovered one of the many journals I have and while perusing the pages of it, I found this quote I wrote on the very last page: “I am not a writer, but I do write via the process of my work and crafts.” I wrote this back in March of this year, when I was deciding whether to start a blog. The very thought of writing, gave me a little bit of anxiety, but as I worked on each post, it got a little bit easier and more enjoyable!
The craft t I’m about to share with you is the result of a creative exercise I’m participating with some amazing artists: Miss Tristan B and Michelle P. The project is called “InspirationRX” and it involves sparking the creativity of their participants with one single prompt word. See, this week the word is “color” and when I started to think about what to create from this prompt, I was feeling a little sad… and went for the color blue, chose a few beading materials and crafted away a few necklaces and one bracelet to cheer me up a bit.
Please take a look below at my work. I loved choosing the materials to work with: delicate cabochon beads, natural leather cord, a couple of Kenyan beads and a button. As always, I love hearing from you!

Natural leather cord and blue gem stone.

Cabochon flower beads and round Kenyan beads.

Decorative sticker button and natural leather cord.

These are so cute! I always get intimidated to make a necklace or bracelet because I feel like I have to put so much work into it but these pieces are so pretty and simple. I love them. Thanks so much for sharing this at “That’s My Style” Link Party!!! You made my day. I do hope you’ll join in again today! . :)

Hi Karla! Thank you for the nice compliments! I can totally relate to being intimidated by making jewelry! I haven’t designed any necklace using any hardware but just simple leather cords and beads. Trying to keep it simple and cute ;) Cheers! I’ll definitely come by your party again!
