What do I do for “me time”? This is a question I was asked a few days ago.” Over the last few years “me time” has evolved. When I was in my twenties “me time” would take place when my husband was at a long softball tournament while I would stay home and have a day to myself. (We were married for 7 years before having children).
Reblogged this on The Pretty Canary.
This is so sweet! For my “me” time I like to watch shows my husband won’t watch on TV! Haha! Or I go get my nails done (a treat!) Or just sit down and read some blogs and catch up on that! Thanks for linking up with Weekend Blog Block Party!
Thank you Rachel! :)
I love doing my nails too during any free time! I love shellac it lasts forever ;)
I love that I read this post now. I think it was meant to be. Before we started planning for baby, we had lots of “me” time. In fact, that was one of the things we most valued. Lately, with me being preggo, the “me” time has been sucked out of our daily lives as we prep. It’s like a looming deadline that we know we have to get to business. I notice that we both get frustrated and I lose my temper more easily because of it. It’s hard. I used to love reading a book at a cafe, going to Zumba class, and watching trashy tv. I still do Zumba, but the other two have been cut out. Like you said, it’s healthy for a relationship to have downtime. Thank you for reminding me of it. And, thank you for visiting my blog! I love meeting new bloggy friends =)

Hello dear Mrs Shugar! Thank you for your lovely comments and visiting my blog ;) I just got a chance to reply back. My life has been a whirlwind of field trips (preschool) drive to and from school and the never ending house work ;) Wow, you are going to be a momma soon and it its the most amazing, exhausting, wonderful and shocking all the same time! As a new mommie you will receive so much advice from left to right. We moms love to give advice and we do it with the best intentions, but it can get overwhelming. So here is my itty bitty advice: take it one day at a time. Don’t’ think about the next day or evening. I wish someone would have told me this. I wish you all the best on this new journey! I’ll be following your blog ;)
Ursula,
You couldn’t be more right! “Me time” is just as important as any other time! Thank you for sharing this post!
