Have a cup of…succulents – A modern & simple idea to display succulents
Succulent plants are everywhere! I found myself at home depot, looking for a few succulents for my mom. I remember growing up in Lima; my mom had at least three aloe vera plants around the house. Now, my mom lives with us, and I wanted to bring a few succulents for her as a birthday gift.
I ended up getting a few succulents and didn’t have a plan on where to plant them. Then, a quick idea came into my mind, and I figured my coffee cups were the right size to keep my succulents temporarily ;) What do you think? I enjoy using unusual items for home decor and improvise with different ideas. Now that I’ve had these plants in four coffee cups, I’d like to purchase a bigger version of my coffee cups, round, white ceramic planters.
In the meantime, I will keep my succulents displayed like this until I find a permanent home for them. Do you have succulents at home? Or your office? They are great indoors plants, but they still need a sunny spot at home and water when the soil becomes dry. If you like to read more about the care of succulents, here is a great article from “Succulents & Sunshine.”
I use a few cake stands throughout my home as centerpieces for decor. I have a small collection of cake stands and why keep them stored away when you can display them? Down below is my centerpiece for my dining room table.

Great idea! I love the photos themselves. You could easily frame one and hang it up as art. Thanks for linking up to The DIY’ers!
Thank you Jennifer! I think I’ll frame one ;) Great to “meet” you in the blogoshphere ;)
