Do you stress out when hosting a party? I certainly do! I had thrown about five parties this year and figured out a few “shortcuts” to decorate my parties while achieving a pretty theme and not stressing too much. Please take a look below at photos and tips that will help you put together your next party with ease!

- Decorate a neutral color wreath with small objects or cut outs that complement your party’s theme.
- Use colorful party supplies. I used Poppytalk for target cake stands.
- Serve and decorate with cupcakes. Add bakers twine around the cupcakes.
- Make just a few cupcake toppers. In this case I only made two for this cupcake display.
- Use tissue paper and add a pop of color to your table.
Tip #1: Find a wreath in a neutral color, such as silver and use it as a wall decor. Then, you can decorate the wreath with small objects or anything related to your party’s theme. I’ve used my silver wreath for several parties. For example, I threw a “Vintage Winnie the Pooh” and used it for my door.
Tip #2: Target has launched a couple of party supplies lines designed by Oh Joy! and Poppytalk. The first line is amazing, colorful and so versatile. You could use it for many party themes. The second line, “Poppytalk” has a vintage flair, very feminine and beautiful. I used Poppytalk’s cake stands for my last party shown above. Poppytalk’s stands are re-usable so you will see them again at my next party.
Tip #3: Bake or buy some cupcakes in a neutral color. I made yellow cake cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Before frosting the cupcakes, I wrapped them with baker’s twine and added an instant cute factor. I also decorated my table with cupcakes displayed on three different cake stands.
Tip #4: Don’t stress with making a cupcake topper for every single cupcake. You can assemble them in a circle and only add two toppers to one cupcake placed in the center of your cake stand.
Tip #5: Use tissue paper to add color to your table. Is very affordable, and these days tissue paper comes in so many colors and patterns that you will find a design that complements your theme ;)
What do you think? Do you have any tips you’d like to share with me? I hope these five tips help you out when you plan your next celebration ;)
