When I was in my teen years, my mom and I would go the local mall in Lima, Peru, and browse through many shops. As a teenager, my attention span was minimum. I wanted to hop from store to store, discovering what was next.
On the other side, my mom would slow us down and stop at every jewelry store and admire everything that was on display. I would think, “What is the big deal about jewelry? They all look the same to me…”
Fast forward to my thirties, and I slowly began to enjoy jewelry. I think it all started when my husband showed up with a little blue box for our anniversary. I was hooked!
I’ve been using my new baubles holders for a week or so. It is very nice to have my rings and necklaces organized and neatly stored. You have to give it a try to make these holders. They are simple to make and the color combination possibilities are endless ;)
TUTORIAL {Blue Baubles Holders)
From the top left to right, you will need “Sei tumble dye” in two colors, charcoal grey and blueberry. Mix both inks to achieve desired shade of blue. Using a foam brush, start painting the inside of the bowl in a circular motion until you are satisfied with the results.
Once the ink is dry, you can add a layer of “shimmer” with “Tattered Angels Glimmer glaze.” I liked both finishes, so I left one bowl without the glimmer glaze.
TUTORIAL {PINK BAUBLES HOLDER}
Soft dusty pink is one of my favorite colors (aside of the color mint.) I mixed three watercolor mists ink to achieve the perfect pastel pink. This time I decided to paint the outside of the bowl with Tattered Angels watercolors mist inks and Tattered Angels mixed media paint in white.
Once the paint of the outside was dry, I used “craft smart” acrylic paint in gold. I’m a little in love with this paint! I’ve used for my “Golden Succulents” craft, and “Rainy Day Activity Box.”
