What comes to mind when you hear the word “silence?” Sudden absence of noise? Maybe someone saying in a loud voice “Silence!” to a group of people? I’m participating in a photography blog hop put together by Tara Victoria and Latrina Of Trees and Hues blog.
This month’s prompt word was “Silence.” How would you convey with one photo the word “silence?”
A couple of weeks ago, I visited with dear friends by the river. It was a very hot day, a few families gathered by the beach. We had four families totaling twenty people and little kids. Our time was spent kayaking, running around the beach (well my kids run around while I attempted to read a magazine) had an early dinner and left the river almost by 7:00pm. It was right then when I captured this moment of silence. The beach was empty; the river had any ripples hardly, and there was silence…
Can you imagine the lively conversations taking place around this table? How many stories told? Delicious food shared? I want to go back to the river and enjoy a beautiful day like we had a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I’m happy with my photo and might frame it to remind me of the river and fellowship with friends. This place is very special to me. I was baptized in this river almost eight years ago.
Tara Victoria and Latrina, thank you for putting together this blog hop. I’m enjoying it very much.
