Aren’t Christmas cards so lovely to send and receive? While organizing my office, I found a pack of my old Christmas cards that I didn’t send last year. I couldn’t make myself recycle them, so I made a set of coasters. I’m pretty happy with my new coasters, and the pink palette will go great into February for V-day.

Tutorial
- Gather four Christmas cards of your choice.
- You will need four square unfinished wood coasters.
- Select an area of one christmas card to crop the same dimension of your coaster.
- Use matte mod podge to glue your square cards to each coaster.
- Paint the sides of each coaster with white acrylic paint. (Not shown.)
When choosing your cards, (my cards are from tinyprints ) try to find cards with similar color palettes ;) What do you with your Christmas cards? I always love hearing from you!

What a great idea! I hate throwing things like cards and wrapping paper away. Thanks for sharing!
Hello Carmia,
Thank you for stopping by ;) I just visited your blog and you have some pretty awesome printables ;) Pinning them for sure ;) See you in the blogosphere. XO.
I’ve just made all the cards we received this year into next years gift tags.
I love your pretty coasters. It’s nice to use things instead of just throwing them away.
Did you coat the card with anything to protect it? Does the Matte Mod Podge do that?
Hi Julie, I coated the coasters with the mod podge and I assume it will protect the coasters from any water or spills ;) but now I’m thinking I should spray them with some sort of sealant to make sure the last… I love your idea of making tags with the rest of my christmas cards!
because can you ever have too many coasters?! What a great idea! Thanks for linking up to Outside {the Box}!
These are genius and lovely! I’ll be sharing them for Think & Make Thursday :)
