DIY Easter eggs & succulent decor

Diy easter eggs & succulent decor

I’m completely smitten by this color, blush-rosy pink and longing for spring! Last week I bought a few craft supplies based on my crush for this shade of pink.

Today I’m sharing with you a craft with Easter eggs and artificial succulents to make an Easter centerpiece. Even if you are not remotely ready to think about Easter, pink succulents can cheer up any home during this winter.

How are you dealing with the cold weather? I’ve been baking more than usual and wondering why my jeans fit so tight…

To come up with the shades of pink above, I combined white acrylic paint with tattered angels mist in bold red. Aren’t these shades of pink rad?

Adjustable knot enables you to wrap the leather cord tightly.

Blush-pink Easter eggs with white leather cord.

  1. You will need paper mache eggs, white acrylic paint and tattered angels mist in bold red.
  2. Paint the eggs with three layers of paint and let dry for 15 minutes in between each layer of paint.
  3. Using 25″ inches of white leather cord, make an adjustable knot. (View a tutorial to make and adjustable knot here.)
  4. Wrap the leather cord around the egg 4 or 5 times, depending on how much leather cord you used.

  1. Begin adding paint to the bottom of one artificial succulent, working your way up.
  2. I only did two layers of paint, the plastic surface of the succulent absorbed the paint pretty good.
  3. Let the succulent air dry for at least one hour. Otherwise, the paint will crack.
  4. Enjoy your creation.
