What are you doing at this very moment? Aside from reading this post? I am sacrificing sleep and designing away for a product idea I’ve been thinking about for quite awhile. In fact, it has been at least a year since I’ve been dancing around this project, so I got started! You have to start somewhere right? I don’t intend to be cryptic, I think is the combination of lack of sleep and non-stop kids activities.
I would love to design a line of party products, in digital format with various motifs like a “Botany” motif, hence my mood board. Aahhhhh, mood boards can be very relaxing to put together, and that is exactly what I did. I’ve been very inspired by dresses with floral prints and the color green (one of my favorite colors.)
What do you think? Isn’t the dress on my mood board just lovely? I am semi-dying to click “add to cart” and get it! However, I promised the hubs to cut down on my online shopping spending, and my goal is to stick to our plan. Have a zero balance on our credit card and pay cash for our expenses.
You are probably thinking, wow, Ursula is all over the place with this post. It comes down to this: I love designing and enjoy expressing myself through fashion and the projects I show you on my blog. Why? kraft&mint is a visual journal I hope to keep until I’m an old granny when blogs will be a thing of the past, but I’ll be the old granny that still blogs. I picture myself convincing my future, granddaughter, to stop depending on her magical 3-d printer (or whatever invention the future will hold) and teach her the joy that comes from making something by hand.
Below are the links to the lovely items that inspired my “Botany” mood board.
- Succulent Cactus Phone Case
2.a “Magnolias in motion.” Another dress with this trend inspiration.
- Leather Copper Air Plant Holder
Hope you are having a good start of the week! Drop me a line, you know your comments make my day!
