Hello! This project, has been one the most creative crafts I’ve done in a while. I came up with my idea about a month ago while supervising a field trip to the Botanical Gardens with my son’s 4th-grade class.
The day was perfect, not too hot not to cold and the sights, plain gorgeous. Rows full of roses, beautiful plants, and green everywhere you looked. I took my phone out and started taking a picture after picture, holding my phone tight while also keeping an eye on the 4th graders.
DIY iPhone leather case tutorial
First, I started with two pieces of leather in a dark lavender color. Then I glued the bottom and both vertical sides of the leather rectangle.
Then I ended up with a pouch as shown on my photo above.
Then I used a die cut machine and cut all sorts of shapes until I found the perfect shape for my new case.
A flamingo! I glued the flamingo to the front of my case and waited one hour for the glue to dry.
Finally with a screw punch I made holes on each side on the top of my case.
I found a great leather suede by the yard and made a very simple “strap” for my leather case.
Now when I’m out and about, and I know I’ll be taking many photos, I carry my new iPhone leather case around my neck. It is very convenient, and I’m not worrying about dropping my phone! What do you think? I always love hearing from you!

And perfect for last minute airplane trips! I always throw my ID into my huge purse after checking in and then can’t find it in time for security check. This would be so handy!
Yes! I will make you one ;) Any requests? Colors? Shapes?
