Today’s craft is part 2 of my tutorial on how to make a pineapple pouch using leather, glue and a xActo knife.

Tutorial DIY Pineapple Pouch – Part 2

1: In part one of my tutorial, I showed you how to cut the pineapple shapes on my pouch using this template. Now during part 2, you will glue two leather rectangles to make the pouch. The photo above shows how the pouch is assembled. First you will add glue to both vertical sides and bottom side of one rectangle of leather and glue it to the leather rectangle with the pineapple design.

2:  Add a white leather trim around the pouch using “fabric fusion” glue. This step requires a little bit of patience. The white leather cord I used is thin and gluing it to the sides of the pouch took 30 minutes. Make sure to leave and extra inch of leather cord on both sides of the pouch.

3: Make a loop with the white leather trim.

5: Use a pair of pliers and secure both loops with 5mm jump rings.

6: Finally add a lobster clasp. In part one of my tutorial, I mentioned I made this pouch to go with my new light pink tote, which came with its own plain pouch. Inside the tote, there is small “hook” where I can attach my new pineapple pouch ;)

Aaaah, so happy to share the second part of my tutorial with you all. This is my fourth pouch and I need more hours in the day to make more! I made smaller ones to store trinkets here and here.
