Are you feeling the urgency yet? To get organized before the craziness of back to school hits? You guys, I have to tackle a couple of areas in my kitchen before school begins or my mornings will not look pretty at all. While purging a few items, I ran into a stretched canvas, and it reminded me how much I needed a pin board for the kitchen area.
My new pin board is perfect for displaying reminders and also showing pretty stuff to keep motivated during the shorter days ahead. The good news? My new board took minutes to make. No joke, just minutes, all I used was a one 18 x 24 inches stretched canvas and a few yellow rubber bands. That’s it!
Tutorial DIY One Step Pin Board
- You will need one stretched canvas 18″ x 24″, Darice has a pack for two stretched canvases.
-
Use yellow rubber bands, large ones, I used rubber bands from “Paper Jam.” They come in one bag and come in many colors. Stretch one rubber band diagonally and repeat the same step until you have a pattern on the canvas.
Have fun putting up items on your new board! I added a calendar postcard (#1), one clothes pin (#2), cloud shapes (#3) circular clips (#4)
I also found a spot for my one of favorite pens and I will make myself another pin board. This time I think pink rubber band will do the trick. What do think?
