I’m back to my non-stop back to school schedule and this Fall I’m transitioning to wearing sneakers + dresses. I feel super comfortable, and this is one combo I’m hooked on.
Depending on where you live and how hot, mild or cold the Fall maybe for you, I encourage you to give it a try! Now, I’ve put together a few dresses that would look awesome with sneakers. Ok, ok, I’m not turning kraft&mint into a fashion blog ;) But I had to share my thoughts on sneakers + dresses. I heart fashion and sharing with you everything that I’m passionate about ;)
Nine dresses to wear with sneakers this Fall
- Cold weather option: sweatshirt dress + leggings (I would do a light grey or pastel + white sneakers.
- Cold weather option: denim dress+ underneath layer with a long sleeve shirt, + white sneakers or canvas sneakers. Black sneakers would work great too.
- Cold weather option: throw on a sweatshirt-dress and you are good to go.
- Warm weather: ribbed knit dress + a cardi.
- Warm weather: light denim dress + white sneakers and maybe a denim jacket.
- Mild weather option: lovely twist dress + sneakers and a scarf.
- Mild weather option: denim dress + white sneakers
- Mild weather option: chambray denim dress + adidas original sneakers
- Mild weather option: maxi dress + sneakers

I can say this, some of these outfits would not look appropriate on an older woman. I wear sneakers (preferably Target style) in prints, etc. I make sure I buy on sales. I have to wear sneakers as I have lymphedema in left foot/leg and swelling does not look good in sandals. I wear some longer fuller skirts to hide my leg. It’s not pretty but I’m stuck with darn thing so try to disguise it as much as possible, plus am casual kind of dresser.
Some of outfits you featured would be appropriate on an older woman but a person needs to know what works and what doesn’t. These are very nice looking outfits and can be embellished with belts, scarves i.e. for dressing up/down.
