Hello! How have you been? On my end, I got hit with two viruses back to back with no relief! Brutal. Trying to get better while also parenting kids, is no fun. Thankfully I’m on the mend and excited to share with you a DIY Moleskine sketchbook cover. This craft is very relaxing.
Materials
- White Moleskines Notebooks
- Color box berry pigment
- Embossing powder (white)
- Clear stamp rubberstamp set (on sale too!)
- Acrylic stamping block
- Embossing heat tool
First, “peel off” the triangle-shaped clear stamp and stick it to the acrylic stamping block. The clear stamps are designed to attach to the block. No glue necessary ;)
Add ink to the stamp and make one impression in the center of the Moleskine notebook.
Add a generous amount of embossing powder and cover the stamped shape.
On a piece of paper, get rid off the embossing powder, leaving only the powder that got “glued” to the shape you stamped.
Plug and turn on the embossing heating tool and start “drying” the powder. The embossing powder will begin to dry in 30 seconds or so. Position the embossing heating tool about 8 to 10 inches away from the notebook at a 45-degree angle. The notebook cover will start to bend a little. Once the powder is dry, you can position a heavy book on top of the notebook to make it flat again.
Repeat the process above and admire your creation! Aaah, I’m so thankful I’m feeling better, and I’m sharing my Moleskine cover DIY with you. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and most of all, I would love for you to try this craft. You will find yourself wanting to emboss cards, notebooks and anything you can manage to emboss ;) Hope you have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by and visiting kraft&mint.
