Hello! December is here and wow, this year flew by! A few things on my to-do list is to treat my son’s and daughter’s teachers with a thoughtful Christmas gift that they will enjoy ;)
Take a look at the DIY Coffee Sleeve and teacher’s gift ideas that I’m thinking of pairing with my craft ;)
Materials I used:
- Big shot machine cutting machine
- Cutting pads
- 12oz paper cup
- Coffee sleeve die
- Assorted card stock
- Sharpie pen
DIY Coffee Sleeve for Teachers Christmas Gifts
This magical coffee cup sleeve die, cuts perfectly a standard size coffee sleeve that you can customize with any message. In this case, I went for “Awesome Teacher!”
DIY Coffee Sleeve for Teachers Christmas Gifts Tutorial
Step 1
First, I used a big shot machine and a coffee cup sleeve die.
Step 2
Second, I cut the card stock paper to fit in the big shot multipurpose board.
The order of materials goes like this: first you have the multipurpose board the machine comes with. Second, you place one cutting pad on top, then you place the coffee sleeve “die facing up,” then you add your paper facing down (look at my photo) and then you place a second cutting pad on top.
Step 3
“Crank” the big shot cutting machine, you will hear a slight “break” as the paper is being cut by the coffee sleeve die.
Step 4
Voila, the coffee sleeve die is cut.
Step 5
The coffee sleeve wraps around nicely.
Step 6
With a sharpie write a message of your choice. Also, the “oval” shape that I’m showing you in this photo is also part of the coffee sleeve die and you follow the same steps to cut the oval.
What will I do with my nicely packaged coffee drink?
- First idea: find out your teacher’s favorite drink, maybe he/she is not a coffee drinker but prefers tea. Treat your teacher with her fave latte and use my coffee sleeve craft.
-
Buy a few disposable coffee cups, add my coffee sleeve and put inside a couple of gift cards to Starbucks, Barnes and Noble etc. Teachers love gift cards!
-
Third idea: Instead of gift cards, fill the cup with chocolate covered espresso beans. Add my printable “to-do” cards to go along.
Teachers will love any of these ideas ;)
Until next time,
Ursula
