The coolest DIY headphones stand tutorial
Pastels + florals! Have you seen headphones as cute as these? I was giddy when I got them in the mail, sent by the lovely people at Ankit. Seriously, every time I put them on, they make me feel happy.
Then I thought to myself where I will store these babies? If I leave them sitting on top of my desk, it would be too tempting for my kids to grab and disappear with them. My solution? I made a stand that is as stylish as my dreamy pastel headphones.
Take a look at materials and tutorial below ;)
Materials:
- Five wood cubes
- Wood plaque
- Loctite super glue
- Aluminum gray and pink acrylic paint
- Duraclear matte varnish
The coolest DIY headphones stand tutorial
From the top left photo, clockwise, I used five 1.5″ wood cubes plus a small wood plaque that I used as a base. First, I glued one cube in the middle of the plaque. I added 4 more cubes, waiting ten minutes at the most for the glue to dry.
Then I painted two sides of the “tower” with a soft pastel pink and the rest with a gray aluminum gray paint. Please take a look at the photo below.
Once the paint was dried, I added yellow triangles stickers and designed a pattern on both pink sides and the base of the stand. Finally, I added one coat of matte varnish to secure the stickers and paint.
Super easy to make! I have a recap of the materials below plus here is a link to my headphones. Thank you for visiting and following my little corner of the web :) I always love hearing from you!
