I threw a unicorn party in three days! And it was super easy thanks to Amazon, jolly ranchers and my printer ;) Take a peek below to show you how you can throw a last minute unicorn party ;)
I found a nebula jar tutorial on Pinterest and followed the instructions to make this jar the main craft for the birthday party for my daughter. You will need the following materials:
Instructions:
Fill the mason jar with water, reaching up to a third of the mason jar. Add tempera paint and put the lid on the mason jar and shake it. Then add glitter and shake the jar some more. Once you have a mix of water and tempera, put 5 or 6 cotton balls, depending on the size of the mason jar. Finally, repeat the steps I just mentioned and close the mason jar tight. Then glue the unicorn on the lid and you’ve just made a nebula-unicorn jar!
Aren’t these colors the best? These are jolly ranchers, pulverized with a rolling pin and a lot of caffeine! I made my custom glittery rocks for the unicorn cake below.
DISCLAIMER: Please pulverize the jolly ranchers until they are small enough to swallow, that way no one chokes on jolly ranchers pieces! Do this at your own risk. I served this cake to seven-year-olds, and I wouldn’t serve this to toddlers.
I made a five layer yellow cake with buttercream, added the pulverized jolly ranchers on top of the cake. plus a unicorn topper and a number “eight” candle.
Super fun!
Finally, I used an assortment of paper fans and added the word “party” to it. That’s it! You can also throw a last minute unicorn party creating a pretty wall with paper fans, making a cake or ordering one and adding a unicorn topper + nebula jars.
I’m all for lovely, easy and fun!
