Friday Finds: Stroller Derby Seattle

Hello! Today I’m sharing with you a super fun event:  the first ever Stroller Derby happening in Seattle! This is an awesome opportunity to run, walk, and stroll along the beautiful Lake Sammamish trail with your family and friends. Here are all the deets:

 

What: Super fun stroller derby with family and friends.

When: August 20, 2017 – 7:30 a.m. check-in opens. 9:00 a.m. kids dash start time. 9:30 a.m. race start time.

Where: Marymoor Park – start and finish at the Velodrome picnic shelter. Run will continue along the Marymoor Connector Trail to East Lake Sammamish Parkway NE trail and back.

How to participate: Buy your tickets here. **All children under the age of 18 are free!

Race Day Schedule
7:30am: Registration & packet pick up open (complimentary gear check available until 12:00pm)
8:15am: Fit 4 Mom Stroller Strides Warm Up
9:00am: Kids Dash
9:30am: Race start
9:45am- 12:00pm: Post Race Bash
10:15am: Awards ceremony
12:00pm: Event concludes

Race Course
Marymoor Park offers stunning views of Lake Sammamish. Our 5k (3.1mi) course is paved and flat, perfect for runners, walkers and of course strollers!

First aid is available at the race, as well as one water station along the race course

Timing
Every runner will receive a timing chip on their bib so that you can time your pace if desired. Results will be released within 24 hours of the event.
