Peace of mind with Bay Alarm Medical
They call us the “sandwich” generation, and I’m part of this generation because I’m “sandwiched” in the middle of taking care of my elementary age children and also taking care of my mom.
It all started when my mom came to live with us to help me take care of our little ones while I worked full-time. Back then I didn’t think much about what would happen if my mom fell down, or maybe she was in the shower, and I couldn’t help her out. During those years I was consumed with taking care of my three little ones under the age of five.
Now fast forward ten years since my mom lives with us and the situation is different. My mom remains active, but I worry about her if I leave her at home alone. Why? She has slowed down, and ten years make a difference in someone’s body, so when I heard about Bay Alarm Medical alert system, I was excited to partner with Bay Alarm Medical and try their products.
Bay Alarm Medical Main Console
Bay Alarm Medical sent to my home a system that included:
- One central console,
- A secondary help button,
- One pendant,
- One wrist unit,
- A vial of life card where we can fill out useful information such as medications my mom takes. This will assist paramedics in an emergency situation.
- One free pair of premium Bombas® socks with every new medical alert subscription.
The first thing we did was to install the main console unit in our office area in two easy steps. The system comes with a phone cord and one adapter. First I connected the phone cord to our phone (landline) and the adapter to a power outlet. That’s it!
Then I showed my mom the other goodies our system came with and pointed out that by pressing any button on the main console, necklace, or wall mount, a live operator calls our home via the main console.
Then the operator assesses her situation and calls me first to inform me of her circumstances. However, if she requires medical assistance the Bay Alarm operator calls 911.
My lovely mom
My mom remains active and is thankful for Bay Alarm Medical system and their live operators that are available 24 hours, seven days a week at the press of a button for any medical assistance.
Bay Alarm also works outside the home, and we will consider their mobile GPS option as my mom gets older.
Now, Bay Alarm Medical brings peace of mind when I’m not at home and driving my children to their extracurricular activities. My mom likes the pendant the best and the wall unit (which is waterproof) is one of her favorite Bay Alarm Medical’s features.
